I just re-watched Ghost Dance and saw what MAY be a flaw. It looked like Twitch left Perfection in his own car - couldn't tell if he arrived at the mine with Burt or solo - I thought he drove himself - but he returns to Perfection with Burt, goes off screen and gets in his car and drives away. The car visible at the mine is the car belonging to the dead spelunkers, I think. It just grabbed my attention when Twitch got in a car I thought he'd left at the mine. Did I just misread the action?

Timforston, you're right ... maybe a flash flood after Twitch gets through??? He's needed for the show but you're correct - he does get in when the guys with the big 4 wheel drives can't get out - those GSA compact cars must be a lot better out in Nevada than they are here in Houston.

Obviously, Twitchell uses a state of the art, secret government built tunnel under the pass to Bixby to get past the flood to conduct further and uninterrupted surveillance of Perfection Valley and its residents...for God's sake be rational.

I thought I posted this but maybe not or in the wrong place. It did occur to me finally that when I lived in Phoenix, we often wouldn't get a flash flood from rain in the valley. It was only hours (in some cases, days) later when the rain moved into the mountains and the run off finally made it back to the valley that we'd get the floods.
That said, I do think Mr. ElBlanco is absolutely correct. We MUST be rational or the Coyote will fool us like the women (Harlowe in Ghost Dance if I have my quote correct "women and their imaginations, Coyote can fool them so easily")

Mr. ElBlanco - obviously you're correct - I saw a bad Volcano movie loosely based on Mt. St. Helens where the vulcanologist used a 4X4 with a snorkel and vertical stack and ballast tanks to wade a river that was over the top of the car to escape the lava flow. If you see it on TV it MUST BE TRUE but in this case the tunnel avoids the public exposure of government surveillance. I should join 'Conspiracy Theorist of the World' but I think they are a UN front to keep track of those of us who are aware of what they are doing.

Has anyone else plotted the location of the secret lab? If you google maps the labs location Burt uses in Ghost you find a nice little hill side just up the road from a town called Moapa, NV. It is indeed surrounded by BLM land and the terrain fits fairly closely to the layout of Perfection Valley. There is even a ridge line that leads from the location all the way back to near the area where the town would be. There is currently a grid of residential roads (MELCO?) in the area. Anyone want to live near an abandoned, secret government lab?

OK, I know it was a plot device but why did Burt need Jodie's monitor to study El Blanco's travel habits? Surely he has a good system in the bunker and using the market's system takes it out of service as a monitor for El Blanco. Just thinking out loud that this seems wrong.

Maybe he wanted an audience. No one in the town really believes him about the lab, and he probably wanted to show off that he was right. Plus, they have the wrist sizemos to use while the monitor is down.
