412, Hmmmm, since I've NEVER wanted an audience around when I've proven my point, it NEVER occurred to me that Burt might be trying to make a point. Good, no great, catch. :-)

Plus, another thing, do you think Burt would want to jeopardize his own equipment?

True enough ... never know when NTS (whoever they are) might be monitoring ... better they should grab Jodie's monitor ... besides, she makes better coffee ...

Opinion - were the spelunkers in the mine legally? They didn't seem to be but the sign leading into the valley says no spelunking - no making popcorn either but that never figured into the plots. They seem to recognize that they are in Grabiod habitat so why aren't they more concerned?

It was probably a government sanctioned event. They were very quick to cover up the mixmaster attack, and even prepared for it, so maybe the people at the beginning were a sort of Guinea pig for the Gov. to check and see if the "ghost" is still in there.

That would be a cool theory if they we're to ever revisit past events in anything Tremors in the future.

Assuming it was sanctioned (I agree, probably was) that would explain by Twitch was so .... 'twitchy'. If he had given permission to be there then there needed to be a really good, NATURAL explanation for what happened. Sometimes I feel really sorry for Twitch (especially in Night!) He's a government man in the BLM for crying out loud. Not exactly the arch-type for an exciting, high action job. Then he gets stuck with El Blanco, Burt and Tyler. LIFE IS NOT FAIR!

Your right, there are a few times where he isn't the one to blame, like in Night of the Shriekers and Graboid Rights. But Shriek and Destory, that was partially his fault, the other half was Bill McClane's fault. But what's wrong with being with Burt and Tyler for a day? ;D I'd do anything to be with Burt and Tyler, especially everyday. ;D

I have been spending some time with the satellite view of Perfection, er Moapa Town, NV. This is the closest town to the mine (Burt located it at 36.7N 114.67 W see: maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=CZtVKUJNIpOPFWWQJQIdzD8p-SEl5FTBy57bWg&q=36.7+N+114.67+W ) I wonder if Proudfoot really has returned (never left?) the valley. I'm planning an RV vacation up into the Big Sky country and I'm considering trying to make Moapa, Area 51, and Roswell part of the itinerary. In of you folks live close to this area? It a tad far from Houston for a day trip but I'd love to see photos of the place if they exist.

I think something got screwed up when you posted that, because that point isn't even in the US let alone Nevada.
