Sad news that Tremors: The Series' Marcia Strassman, aka Nancy Sterngood, passed away yesterday at the age of 66. She had been battling cancer. I'm pleased to say I spoke to Marcia earlier this year for the book and that she was very positive about her time on the show. A lovely woman. There's more on Variety.

Thats very unfortunate as I think I preferred her portrayal of Nancy.

I liked Marcia very much from Honey I Shrunk The Kids so to find out she later joined the equally kookie Tremors franchise was a real pleasure! I also liked her take on Nancy very much, and the edge she brought to the later-in-life blossiming relationship between Nancy and Burt was another level of goodness to Burt's arc that had seemed missing in later years (film sequels). There will always be that, sad as it is that she passed away. Nancy became a cool character!! RIP Marcia!
It seems she stayed in positive spirit and mind which is commendable and if anyone finds a copy of her auto-biography Life With A Side Order Of Cancer I'd be interested to acquire it (for a donation of course!). Sadly it seems out of print and no existing copies out there but maybe someone will happen across it at a garage sale or book shop out in the USA (I don't hold much hope to find it here in the UK).
