First, let me say that if I love a TV show, then it has to really stand out to me. Really, there are only three TV shows that I even like. Tremors being the only show for years, until The Walking Dead came out last year. But this year, I was introduced into another new world: Firefly. My second favorite TV series ever (behind Tremors, above TWD, though I love all three) Has anyone else seen this show? It is a perfect blend of Sci-Fi and Western (hmm, kind of like Tremors ). And like Tremors, it was canceled prematurely after its first season. So expect so plot points to be unaddressed (kind of like the lab in Tremors). And,m if you watch the show and then feel sad that its over, don't fear. They actually made a follow up. As a movie. Serenity. A movie. How often does a show get canceled, and then continue on in the form of a movie. A good movie, especially. This movie is brilliant. It will have you laughing, scared, and maybe even make you cry, depending on how well you handle certain stuff. I definitely recommend every Sci-Fi fan to watch Firefly and Serenity, in that order, even if you absolutely hate TV like I do. Anyone else here a fan?

I blundered into Flyfire and missed the opening shows. I want to see them. It is a bit like the original Star Trek (Wagon Train in Space). I do like the show, but I've got to see the pilot. Is Serenity the same show by another name?

The TV series was canceled after half a season (like Tremors) because it was aired out of order (like Tremors). Serenity is the movie follow-up to the TV series that came out a few years later.

I've seen one episode of the TV series - I didn't care for it that much. When I turned it on, some guy was running through the desert with no cloth on. That was what killed it for me.

Ahhh, yeah. That was an odd moment. But it was the ending of a great episode, and it made sense in context. I wasn't exactly a big fan of seeing that, but it made sense given the situations happening during the episode.
Firefly is kind of like Tremors in the sense that it should be watched in order, but after the initial watching, you can then skip around. The Walking Dead, on the other hand, should be watched strictly in order.
