OK, I'm watching the series again and the opening for 'A Little Paranoia Among Friends' may just be the best opening ever. Burt's 'accidentally locking myself out isn't even a remote possibility, I use codes' is good. The look on his face when he asks Twitch 'YOU want ME to disprove a government CONSPIRACY?" is fantastic but the scene where Taylor asks Burt if 'you two wants to be alone for awhile" with his Barrett is priceless. Mr. Gross' facial expressions just prove what a marvelous actor he is. Of course, the scene in the cafe where Burt learns about the 'mother ship' and being accuse of being 'a government plant' is again off scale.

Another brilliant line is Burt's exit line to escape the restaurant ... words to the effect of "I'm just a government man doing my job for the taxpayers". I nearly laughed myself sick. I thought his face was about to break - another reason I think Mr. Gross is a brilliant actor.

Yes sir. I really get into Burt's views on how crazy people are who believe in aliens and vortex's (ghost) and such when ever RATIONAL person KNOWS it is a government conspiracy. The best part is how all the folks who believe in aliens and such think Burt is way off base with his government conspiracy theories, in spite of plenty of proof to the contrary. The playing off of one set against another is brilliant writing and the acting in these shows is great. Then to involve Burt as a 'Government Man' was just beyond the pale. This didn't start out as my favorite episode but it quickly moved into that spot.

Completely agreed again. I guess when I wos younger it was too much talking, but now it is hilarious, and my most watched episode of the series! in case you can't tell by my name, my previous favorite episode was Project 4-12

4-12 was among the best - probably tied with Frenzy for second (introducing Rosalita has to count for something!) and flora as a close next. I didn't dislike any of them although I guess the last was my least favorite. That might have changed if we had had a second series where Larry and invisibat played a larger role. Can you imagine Larry living with Cletus and Invisibat as their pet? That could be an awesome theme.

Agreed, as well as Burt finding the lab, and maybe incorporating ideas from tremors 5. Maybe they could have made Tremors 5 into a two or three part episode.

T5 to become an opening pilot for year 2 of the series makes a lot of sense to me!
