Damn, Siskel and Ebert never fail to impress.

Yeah they kind of made me mad toward the end of their review when they kept calling it dumb fun and they didn't recommend it.

Well, different strokes for different folks applies here. I like how Ebert liked it enough to recommended it. It deserves a recommendation too in my opinion.

The only downfall is that since the rest were released straight to Dvd with fear of failing in theaters, Siskel and Ebert did not review the sequels.

OK, I'm about 100% here - if these guys pan something I almost always like it. I suspect what they didn't like the most was that the artist type didn't save anyone - it was the survivalist that had the hardware that got everyone out alive. Can't have that - the government MUST be the solution for these guys. Oh, well.......like my screen saver at work says - sick, paranoid, right-wing, red neck, psycho sits here. :-)

Siskel and Ebert are fair critics in my opinion. I could see how this wouldn't appeal to them. We're just Tremors nerds.

Not exactly. I think us liking the sequels/TV series so much makes us Tremors nerds. But the first movie is a classic.

Agreed. Though the first is a classic, if you're a fan, the sequels/tv series deliver great stories and great fun!
