I also like when Burt & Earl blow up the building at the end but I really get a kick out of Burt when he cuts the Shrieker in half with the Grizzly 50 caliber & the bullet goes though the wall, barrels & the car engine! Then everyone is mad at him because they wanted to use the car to escape, lol.

Blowing upthe Building was epic. All im going to say is:
"No, no! Keep going! This is going to be Big, BIG, BIGGG!" "Hows Big is Big?" "Its Burt, Trust me he knows his bombs. If he says keep going keep going!"
Latter:
Big happens.

I also like the line with Grady saying "is there such a thing as low explosive?" and Burt's comeback of "why, yes, son, there is. I mean the Mexican army offers you anything you want and you take ONE box of dynamite!" the outraged indignation in his voice is priceless.

Yes, I always loved that line as well. Tremors 2 had the best oneliners in the series, IMO.

OK, I'm watching T2 as I write this ... when the shrieker grabs Julio at the refinery, why was there no scream? They yell every other time they see heat ... why the sneak up on Julio - made for a great scene but seems a tad inconsistent. Opinions?

My theory: The Shrieker was alone. Since it had no buddies to alert, it decided to keep quiet and sneak up, therefore making its chances of success greater.

Tremors 2 had a much lower bodycount when you compare it to the first one. Only like 3 onscreen kills as opposed to over ten in the first movie.

Three on screen? The worker at the opening, Julio at the refinery and Are you considering Pedro as on screen or did I miss one? I could go either way with Pedro since we didn't 'see' the attack but did see the truck stop and did find only his fore arms on the truck frame. Come to think of it, we only 'see' Chang, Black Hand Kelly, the Oil worker, an Ass Blaster and Burt actually 'ride the jaws' of the worm. Oh, yeah, and Project 412. Only Burt and 412 survive. In T4 the little graboids pull one miner down and in the series and movies we get several who disappear in a cloud of dust but very few actual deaths and some remains. The Shriekers get a few (Julio in T2, the security chief in 'Night...') partially on screen but most (Pedro? and the guard team, are completely off screen and only the results are shown. The tech and PhD in 'Night' are overexposed out of existence and we don't actually see remains. Miguel is killed by a dead Ass Blaster in T3 and a hang glider pilot is nabbed in 'Blast from the Past' but did the Blasters actually eat anyone? I assume the graphics would be too tough and messy to actually allow the Shriekers and Ass Blasters actually eat someone on screen but the Blasters seem to have gotten the short end of the feeding frenzy.

probably a sound boom some more if you didnt notice if you watch when burt cuts the shrieker in half with the 50 cal if you watch the window that blows out in slowmo you can see the 2x4 that they break it with, while they are standing on the oil towers while earl is talking you can see a white van drive down a road in the distance lol know of lots of more mistakes in all the movies and some from the series if you want to know lol

timforston, I agree, probably a sound boom. I hadn't noticed the 2X4 ... I'll check it out. Yep, there are some glitches but I tend to ignore most for the sake of the movie. If a really good movie, I will miss them. I missed the van as well. I'll have to watch again.

timforston, agreed. I found the 2X4 and the car. I'd seen the car and assumed it was a bird - one should never assume. Good catches. One must know their terrain!
