So their life cycle is Egg, Shooter, Graboid, Sheriker and then Ass Blaster
why not Egg, Shooter, Graboid, and then Ass Blaster why can't it just pop out into ass blaster. Ass Blaster didn't explain its fire power came to part of its biology

The reasoning I gather from the films is that, biologically speaking, the goal of the Shrieker stage is purely for reproduction. Make more and more Shriekers as quick as possible. Then, once there are hopefully adequate numbers of Shriekers, they morph into the Assblaster stage, in which their reproductive organs shift gears from multiplying exponentially to laying an egg, which will begin the lifecycle anew, and hopefully in greater numbers this time if the Shriekers were able to suffessufully multiply. The Assblasters also gain the ability to glide so that they can carry the eggs off in different directions and cover more ground with their eggs.
We've never seen the aftermath of an Assblaster laying an egg (I believe that was going to be explored in Stampede's Tremors 5) but I can only imagine that they die afterwards. And then the egg lays dormant for an extended period of time, possibly even hundreds of years, at least, until they are significantly warmed and ultimately hatch.

Just watching T2 again and I had a bit of a stray thought. Have you guys ever thought about what kind of predator drove the grabiod, shieker, AB life cycle? I mean, without a serious threat, these guys would soon eliminate all other life forms on the planet so what critter kept them from doing that. Obviously most of the shiekers had to not survive to reproduce so what got them?
Suggestions?
