OK, I read the article. It has a great deal of potential; unfortunately for bad as well as good. It could well be a great series and I most certainly will give it a chance. If they spend too much time dealing with the angst of a flawed hero, ruined life kind of thing it will just be another series about how disappointing are our heroes.
I know that many heroes have a tough time: Audie Murphy comes immediately to mind. Still, I prefer Hopalong Cassidy to "No Country for Old Men". I realize I may be unrealistic but the "dark" hero just seems like an excuse to deny the greatness of some by writers who do not understand valor. I hope it is a good series. I could really enjoy some new "worm" flicks and I don't even mind missing T2,3,4, or the series as long as the series is faithful to T1.

Well said captbart. A downtrodden, world weary, Val. I don't know... in the first film, he was always looking forward, even if it was just for a cold one. I just can't visualize the time and tide weary, angsty, Val. IMO, the Tremors franchise jumped tracks again. Typical Hollywood, especially in today's weak and whiny sociopolitical climate.
