OK, I admit it - I'm a junkie for Burt's throwaway lines. One of a great many in T3 is Burt talking to Jack on the radio as he pulls into Perfection.
Burt: Is your head up your ass for the warmth?
I've used that a few times before retirement when I was still a "mid-level government functionary" (line from Series 'Sounds of Silence' - Dr. Donna Debevic) at NASA. Annoyed a LOT of bosses that way, especially when events proved me correct!
I'll add more as time goes on and everyone else jump in, please. I've gone over the old threads but T3 is under represented.

Burt: [handing Jack a gun] You do know which end the bullets come out? Jack: I've seen movies.
this is one of the reasons "people" in general drive me NUTS, why I HATE crowds, and why most folks won't survive any real survival situation. They have "seen movies" and think they know how to survive. God help us all.

Ok, one more that I really like. I "LOVE" Melvin's rant at the end of the show. It is a classic example of the viewpoint of the 'visualize whirled peas' crowd. Anyone who would dare take responsibility for themselves has to be a sick, paranoid, paramilitary, etc. Nancy is much the same way at the start of the show. She wants to let the government take care of her instead of take responsibility for her own lack of preparation. This would be funnier if I did not see it in every hurricane, tornado, earthquake, disaster of any kind. The "sheeple" demand someone else care for them.
Grump!
