This is one of these things that feel it's too good to be true. If true, this would mean a huge boost for the franchise, Kevin Bacon is still a big deal in Hollywood. Haven't found anything new about the project since the news first broke, but I hope things are moving and moving fast! Please make it happen!

First info on the series since the initial announcement. Not much but sounds like there is some planning going on which is good. (if link doesn't work its on Kevins twitter) /video/1

10 episodes sounds good. I think something with a beginning, middle, and end would be better than trying again for a long-running series and then having it pulled without any resolution.

I hope they involve Michael Gross in some capacity and don't disregard rest of the movies.

Any news here? I've been on the road for over a month, first time back to internet service.

I hope that when we get a new series the first episode tells us what the 'invisabat' looks like and does. I do not think they have come even close to what mix master could do in the valley. Knowing our government, I suspect they would run everyone out, seal it up and nuke the place. ANYTHING to hide what was going on there. Burt might wind up disappeared. I'd like to see if Nancy has learned anything from T3 and 'Blast from the Past' and 'Night of the Shriekers'. Maybe, just maybe, she has grown up enough to take a little responsibility for herself? Based on Graboid rights I'd say probably not but just maybe.

I also would like to see it continue off of the original series, one of my many questions is if it doesnt, will it take place before the original tv series timeline, or will it take place after the Bloodlines timeline, in that case does that mean his son will be involved as well

Nationalboss, After T5, I am not at all sure we can depend on anything. T5 seemed to leave the way open for a series where Burt goes off to hunt all kinds of monsters, myths, and exotic creatures. I think the entire mix master idea was to keep the series from getting boring; if only the worm and its life cycle were considered then the challenges are limited. Perhaps the T5 opening will expand the field of operations. Still, I would not like to see the original themes forgotten.
I'm a bit like Burt - I don't trust the powers that be to not mess things up. I hope I'm wrong but I bet I'm not. Perhaps we'll get a decent show, even if not a true "Tremors" event.

Just thought you guys would like to know, Kevin just recently did an interview where he gave some more details on the upcoming series. Link: collider.com/kevin-bacon-i-love-dick-tremors-interview-amazon/Highlights: - Will air on Amazon - Will *NOT* follow the continuity of any of the films (and presumably the first series) except for the original Michael Gross is not mentioned, but it seems unlikely, given this information, that he will be involved. It seems to be a very Kevin-centric concept.

Mr EB, I'm afraid it sounds like an attempt to hijack the series name and then do their own thing. I'll give it a short trial but I am not particularly optimistic. Paraphrasing Burt, the powers that be are NOT our friends.

Yeahhhhh. I'm excited about Bacon's eagerness to return, but not so much that premise. I mean, I get why they would make that choice, but it isn't one really for the long-time fans (of which I'd imagine they suspect there aren't many of).

Hey, 412, good to hear from you. I suspect there are a great many fans out there but the return on investment (ROI) is all the "suits" really care about. I suppose that is understandable but I do not like it. I agree having Kevin Bacon back is a good thing but I really don't see a series without some connect to Burt and Perfection. Maybe Val and Burt's kid? who knows?
