Thank you, Its a lot of fun. I just like to make videos to have fun, nothing too serious. When it stops being fun it is probably time to do something else. I enjoy helping folks who want and will accept help but I really dislike the attitude of some folks that want "help" but only in the way they want it and only if the results are what they want. Happens way too often when dealing with firearms. You guys look like you are enjoying yourselves.

Thats the truth. Yeah thats true, but I am pretty selective on who I hang out with let alone who I bring around guns so I don't run into that very often. But I can definitely see how one would. We are having a blast!

I saw your video on the Henry AX. I don't like the pistol grip shotguns due to the recoil into my hands. Wasted youth breaking bricks and boards doing karate, I think, but at my age that much recoil into my hands just hurts.
How does the AX compare to the Desert Eagles in terms of recoil?

Depends on the Eagle, the .50AE kicks more probably the way the grip is shaped but the .357 version is like shooting a 9mm.

I've always liked the look of the Desert Eagle but I suspect that if I can afford one I'll be getting the BFG revolver in .460. I like revolvers.

Nothing wrong with that choice either, I like revolvers too. Theres not really any type of gun I don't like though come to think of it, ill shoot anything. There are a few guns that I think should not exist and a few that boarder on being an abomination! I had a 9.2×18mm Bulgarian Makarov that was unreliable, dropped mags, was inaccurate as all get out (that could have been ammo - Chinese stuff), hurt to fire, etc. A guy insisted he wanted it but I did warn him about it; still insisted so it is on his head. There are others that confuse me. The Chiappa Rhino strikes me as a solution (a very expensive solution) looking for a problem to solve. I could be wrong, of course, but in .38 SPL I just don't see why it is a good idea. I also don't like (personal preference here) the DA/SA semi-autos. I like to KNOW what my trigger pull is before I start shooting. I don't want it changing, automatically, without my deliberate input. Cocking a revolver means I know the pull; my cowboy guns are all SA anyway. The modern revolvers are fine as I get to choose but the DA/SA pistols mean in times of stress the suddenly light trigger pull might cause an unintended discharge. Some guns are just fun and that is enough reason for existence. Some are niche weapons for special purposes like dangerous game and some are just plain beautiful. The new Colt Royal Blue 1911 www.guns.com/news/2020/07/16/colt-gets-back-in-royal-blue-game-with-1911-classic-guns-com fits that nicely. But others are dangerous and they concern me. It appears to me that the .223 rifles are a problem because they can chamber 5.56 and that round amounts to a proof test for the .223 at around 70,000 PSI. That, in my not so humble opinion, is dangerous. I don't like to be forced to read each round's head stamp before I put it in a magazine. I advise all AR-15 platform buyers to get a 5.56 so that is not a worry. The 5.56 can shoot .223 safely. Personally, I lust in my heart for a double rifle in .450 just because I want one. No justification and I can't afford a $60,000 double but if you feel like sending a bunch of money my way there is a place on my wall! :-)

Hmm, I'll let you know how the Chiappa Rhino is - I have a good friend that bought one recently and I've handled it quiet a bit but have yet to fire it. Its interesting in a way, ugly yes, but interesting - its chambered in .357 Mag, I'm quiet curious about the recoil impulse since it fires out of the bottom chamber on the cylinder. I like the Colt 1911s, I fired a Colt MK IV Series 70 that was set up for competition recently, it was a tack driver. I tend to just buy 5.56 guns myself when dealing with that. Oh, a double rifle would be nice. I'm with you though, very expensive. I've bought a few just because ones this year, one of which was a Dan Wesson Supermag chambered in .357 Maximum. I didn't need it but it was a great deal. I also bought a rare M1 Carbine that was converted to .50AE and belonged to the guy who did the conversions, i read about them as a young teen in a Guns & Ammo year 2000 issue. I haven't tested either of those yet, but I recently put a new optic on the M1 so we will see.

OK, a .50AE M1 disturbs the purist that lurks in my soul but, darn that sounds like a really COOL gun. I'll be interested in hearing how it handles.

But the coolness cancels it out for me. Haha. Ill be sure to give a range report on that, it has a red dot Trijicon RMR Type 2 sight on it even.

That M1 Carbine in .50AE sounds like a Burt Gummer Special! You know, the bug out long arm you keep with your Desert Eagle just so you have the same round in handgun and rifle. I can see something like that as a travel package when going places that get all lathered up about evil assault rifles. By all means let us know how the Carbine handles and what you think of the Rhino revolver. In .357 Mag that lower chamber barrel might help the recoil a bunch.

Will do, I just bought reloading dies and bullets for it for my friend to make some loads up. I will let you know, I am interested in trying that Rhino revolver out. Speaking of a long gun with a handgun in the same caliber, I recently gave my dad an Interarms Virginian Dragoon in .44 Mag for his 60th Birthday to go with a lever-action .44 Mag he had got last year for that exact reason.

Every time I shoot a .44Mag I get injured in some way. Nothing consistent but it always seems to happen. Last time a cylinder had expanded its mouth so the slug entered the forcing cone at an angle and shaved a piece of the bullet which came back and clipped my ear! I came home with a bloody ear and my bride saw me and said,"You shot the .44 didn't you?" She knows me well. I would like a .44 Mag pistol/lever gun combo but I think I'd only feed it .44SPL. I've never had issues with the .44SPL, only the Magnum. I'd want the MAG for the same reason I would want a 5.56 and not a .223. I just want my guns to shoot any round, within reason, it will chamber. The cylinder of the .44Mag revolver was eroded because the owner's father had been hand loading the hottest .44Mag rounds he could get. My question of course was "WHY?" Still, I'd like a revolver in .460 so who am I to Question. I've looked at the Ruger Alaskan and the Rossi Lever Gun, both in .454 Casull. Of course, I just found out that Big Horn Armory makes a lever gun in .454 but also in .460. Hmmmmm, a BFR and a Big Horn both in .460? Christmas is coming up but I already don't get to shoot some of my rifles as much as I want to shoot. Sigh, I lust in my heart for a private gun range. I have some friends that live out in the tall and uncut part of Texas and they shoot from their back porch out to about 500 yards. Unfortunately, they're about 6 hours from me. I guess I'll just have to keep going to my local range; it is a good one but there are limits on power they can allow. There are just no perfect spots, I guess.

Ouch, I've never been injured by a .44 yet. I shoot them quiet a lot. I think I have four guns in the caliber now. Big Horn also does a 500 S&W. We shot the .44 Mag revolver and lever gun the other day for the first time, my dad seemed to really like it. Both we're fun to shoot. I also shot my .357 Rossi rifle as well. I have some private properties I go to, one isnt very far and is great for pistols and shotguns or pistol caliber carbines, .22s etc. The other is "okay" but only goes to about 110-120 yards for rifles, but the upside is its still private property. Its hard to find a good long range spot here with all the hills, mountains, and trees.

I've started looking at lever guns in .357 again. I checked with Henry and their .357 will handle bear loads and they look really sharp. The combo of revolver and rifle in the same caliber is still very attractive.
