For anyone who's perhaps been out of radio contact recently due to a Graboid/Shrieker/Assblaster attack, I thought I'd start up a news section for my upcoming 25th anniversary book, Seeking Perfection: The Unofficial Guide to Tremors. Packed with dozens of interviews with cast and crew members from all of the films and the TV series, the book will go behind the scenes, and under the ground, of the Tremors franchise. Interviewees include: SS Wilson Brent Maddock Ron Underwood Nancy Roberts Michael Gross Robert Jayne Charlotte Stewart Tony Genaro Ariana Richards Christopher Gartin Shawn Christian Victor Browne and many more I've started a podcast for the book, with the latest episode now online (it's some of my Ariana Richards interview) and it's also in iTunes. There's also a blog, Facebook and Twitter account. The book isn't available for pre-order yet but should be in a few months time. Feel free to ask any questions or let me know anything you'd like to see covered in the book and I'll see what I can do! Jon

It's taken a while, but I have good news - Seeking Perfection will be out in paperback and ebook on 23 July, 2015 - initially it'll be available from Amazon, but soon after everywhere where books are sold. There's more over on the blog. Oh, and Kevin Bacon agreed to an interview and Michael Gross provides the Foreword...

As Seeking Perfection is out in less than a week, I thought it was time I started giving you a better idea of who I actually interviewed for the book. Although I was lucky enough to attend an LA screening of the first film and have quotes from most of the cast, I managed to interview the majority via Skype and/or email, along with a good number of the crew. So here's an overview of those involved in the first film that I spoke to... Cast Kevin Bacon (Valentine McKee) Reba McEntire (Heather Gummer) Michael Gross (Burt Gummer) Tony Genaro (Miguel) Charlotte Stewart (Nancy Sterngood) Ariana Richards (Mindy Sterngood) Robert Jayne/Bobby Jacobi (Melvin Plug) Crew S.S. Wilson (co-writer) Brent Maddock (co-writer) Ron Underwood (director) Nancy Roberts (Wilson and Maddockâs agent) Gale Anne Hurd (executive producer) Jim Jacks (Universal executive) Pam Dixon (casting director) Tom Woodruff, Jr. (creature designer) Alec Gillis (creature designer) Ivo Cristante (production designer) Alexander Gruszynski (cinematographer) Virgil Harper (second unit director of photography) Lise Romanoff (special visual effects coordinator) Robert Skotak (visual effects supervisor) Cristen Carr Strubbe (production coordinator) Ernest Troost (composer) (At the LA screening I heard from Finn Carter (Rhonda), Richard Marcus (Nestor), Conrad Bachmann (Dr. Jim) and John Goodwin (Howard the roadworker) I'll add the Tremors 2 list in the next day or so... You can download the first chapter of the book by heading over to tremorsguide.com/seeking-perfection-release-date/

Great to hear some feedback on here, I wasn't sure how many board members would buy it. If you have enjoyed it It'd be a big help if you wanted to leave an Amazon review, might spread the word to a few other fans

I'll be heading to Los Angeles for a special signing of Seeking Perfection on October 25th - joining me at Creature Features in Burbank will be cast and crew from Tremors 1-4 and the TV series! SS Wilson, Brent Maddock, Ron Underwood, Robert Jayne, Marcelo Tubert (Tremors 2), Shawn Christian (Tremors 3), Victor Browne and Gladise Jimenez (Tremors: The Series) and more will be attending. Copies of the signed book can be bought on the day OR pre-ordered from Creature Features. Check out the Facebook event for details or there's more on my blog. The chances of there ever being an event quite like this are slim, so hopefully fans will make the most of it!
