It is interesting that there is some fine acting in the films and almost no recognition of that fact. I guess Sci-Fi will never get an academy award but it seems a shame that really fine performances are not recognized. Not only because this movie was SciFi, but it was also direct to video. But yeah, Tremors (and lots of other SciFi) do have great acting.

Although I am a huge Burt fan, in T2 I have to go with Earl as my favorite character. The idea of using the toy trucks to kill the graboids is great. Also he gets Kate at the end of the movie, not bad. I sure like Kate, maybe she can be in T5 I sure wouldn't mind looking at her again!!! I think Tremors needs a hot female to look at in the movie and maybe be a Ripley type and save the day or Burt, at least in one scene.

Yep, Earl had the great idea but it was Burt who used a tank for the RC bait. I also liked the line about the Mexican Army offering you ...."anything you want and you take ONE case of dynamite? " The indignation in his voice is classic Burt.

Well, they wanted to take the movie in a new direction. People expected something huge, so the little Shriekers caught them off guard. In a good way.

We'll never know. I imagine they wanted to bring in a new species of Graboid to the screen and to focus on another one. It would get boring as hell to see just the traditional Graboid every movie. Thats most likely why El Blanco, Shriekers, Ass Blasters, and other creations were made.

I have to go with Earl as my favorite charater in T2 because he ends up with Kate. Not only does he make $ blowing up the Graboids & Shriekers but he ends up with the great looking babe at the end, you can't beat that!

OK, so who made the most money? I'm not sure Mexico would pay for the last worm since it died but wasn't killed. If they got $17,000 for each Shrieker, (1/3 of a Graboid) then who knows. I mean Earl dropped the timer in the truck but it was Burt's truck and Burt had '2 dozen of the little ...' before they took them into the warehouse. If they divide up the money for those in the warehouse then even giving Earl and Grady credit for the 'live one', I think Burt came off best. What do you think?

Thats most likely why El Blanco, Shriekers, Ass Blasters, and other creations were made. I don't necessarily agree. I don't dislike the fact that we got Shriekers and Assblasters, but I would have been perfectly fine with crafty Graboids being the main enemy like in parts 1 and 2. Anyway, my vote tied the score between Burt and Earl. Pleasantly surprised to see that Earl gets so much love considering Burt is most fans' favorite.

I guess Sci-Fi will never get an academy award Actually, far as I recall, Ledger got one for The Dark Knight (one might wonder whether he would get it anyway had he lived, though). That said, it looks rather like an exception to prove the rule :), and with I do agree completely.
