Hi folks, first post here for me. I used to be active in the Tremors fan community around 2002, 2003, as I was originally working on a fan-film; Tremors - On New Ground (you may have seen the old tacky trailer on Youtube).
Although the fan-film is merely "on-hold" for now I thought I'd just post up some news about my other project, a Tremors computer game.
Back in 2003 I spoke with SS Wilson about the possibility of creating a freeware adventure game of Tremors. He was enthusiastic about it but over time, it didn't happen - too much else on my plate and also it was still my infancy of game and film-making.
But as of 2010 I'm going to ressurect the project, which will be a point and click graphic adventure called, most likely, "Beneath Perfection".
Now, please don't count on it being ready until next year or the year after. And also although Burt Gummer will feature, it is NOT a game focussed around Burt and also will involve very little in the way of player controlled shooting. It's an adventure, puzzle solving game that is story driven.
I'm not going to reveal anything yet but once I get the all clear again from Stampede and/or Mr Wilson then it will hit production. I'm also hoping SS Wilson, Brent Maddock or Nancy Roberts will contribute some dialogue to the game.
When the game hits production there will be a designated web-page and I'll post the link here.
For further discussion, and adventure game fans - feel free to discuss ideas on puzzles you might find fun, areas of the first film you don't think were explored fully but could be in a story-driven adventure (as the game will take place between Tremors 1 and 2). Or perhaps links from the future films that could still be expanded in a time-frame between Tremors 1 and 2. For example, no mines (as in T4) in 1,2 or 3 but they could exist in the game, etc..
I can't really answer any questions, all I can say for now is - watch this space. It's something I've been meaning to do for what, 7 or so years now - I think it's time I blast my ass into gear I just wanted to touch base and let you know!
